The David North Agency, Inc. (DNA) is preparing to introduce the First Annual Music Marketing, Imaging and Media Conference (MIMC 's8211; pronounced, 's8220;mimic's8221;) to the GTA. The
conference is designed to assist artists, management companies, producers, songwriters, independent record labels and industry personalities capture a better understanding of how things
work within the industry from a marketing, public relations and imaging perspective.
Andrea David, co-founder of DNA, explained, 's8220;This conference is not solely for people within the music industry. Even though, the emphasis is obviously on the music industry, many
of the sessions can assist individuals in selling themselves when attempting to apply for that promotion or for the entrepreneur attempting to promote a business 's8211; developing the
product, establishing what makes the product or individual unique, packaging, promoting and selling.'s8221;
DNA is currently in the planning stages for the mega-music conference but anticipates a late summer or early fall date. It is expected that thousands from Canada and abroad will be in
attendance at the conference. Canada has never offered a music industry conference that exclusively addresses these specific topics. Initial public response has been overwhelming
primarily because MIMC does not localize the conference to one specific music genre. The conference is for everyone and every genre from country to hip-hop to alternative to rock. MIMC is
for music makers, performers and lovers of the arts.
