NJ Icon Hosts Live Auditions at Atlantic City Outlets The Walk Saturdays...

Do you have what it takes to become the next NJ Icon If you are between the ages of 12 and 25, visit Atlantic City Outlets, The Walk on Saturday May 20 or May 27 between 1 and 3 p.m. to sign up and audition live. Be prepared to sing acapella, accompany yourself on piano (provided) or acoustic guitar (provided by contestant). The weekly auditions will be judged by a distinguished panel of music industry professionals.



Throughout the summer, selected contestants will compete on Monday evenings at the Windrift Hotel, located at 80th and the Beach in Avalon. The top contestants will be performing free public concerts every Saturday afternoon at Atlantic City Outlets, The Walk. Winners are determined by a distinguished panel of industry judges, casino entertainment executives, and by votes cast by the public at www.njicon.com.    




The winner of the summer long NJ Icon competition will be coached and prepared for an audition with a head A/R person from a national recording label based upon the musical genre by a national recording artist, the NJICON team, two time Grammy Award winning producer Joseph A. Donofrio and Joseph Tarsia, founder of Sigma Studios in Philadelphia, PA and New York City.



It is the success and growth of the NJ Icon program which has attracted the interest and participation of Joe Tarsia. Tarsia has been awarded over 160 Gold and Platinum record awards for his work with such artists as Stevie Wonder, The Four Tops, Billy Joel and Madonna, just to name a few.
