Sakki Records the new Independent Label to watch out for



Sakki Records currently adding more bands/artist to its roster. Sakki Records has recently signed the Acousticxcore band Gone From the Start from Ontario,Ca. Also have signed Metal Act Dream Theory from Redding,Ca who have already gained a big following in just 10 months of being together.



Dream Theory will aslo being releasing there debut EP on sakki records on September 27th 2005. Sakki Records has been around for the past three years with only getting offically started last year with Dream Theory as the first to sign with the label. Sakki Records is considered a "punk" label but with a wide range of acts to be signed from indie to hip-hop to folk to ska bands.



Started back in the summer of 2003 by Carlos Murillo and Andrew Judy who met working at Circuit City. They had the same common interest in alot of today's punk band scene and became close friends over a FINCH hooded sweatshirt, which Carlos was wearing before his shift. As Andrew and Carlos became tigher as friends they both had the same idea in that they were getting tired of Major Labels putting out crap for music and signing alot of the underground punk scene and exposing them to a whole new audience and making them mainstream. For Example: My Chemical Romance, Senses Fail, New Found Glory etc. So in the same summer of 2003 they both decided to start a punk label to help undiscovered bands get noticed. In the same summer they both moved to Sacramento,Ca and Andrew went to college full time and that left Carlos to tend to Sakki Records alone, until Carlos moved back to Redding,Ca to pursue the label further. With the help of Carlos's younger sister the three started what will become one of the newest labels to look out for.
