Texan PopRock Cowboys Bowling For Soup Ride Into The UK

Bowling For Soup's recent appearance at the Download Festival was hailed by fans and critics alike as one of the best performances of the weekend (go to www.bfsarmy.com/press for reviews). The band also performed a special acoustic set in the Kerrang Radio tent. Despite coinciding with Velvet Revolver's mainstage set, frontman Jaret Reddick and bassist Erik Chandler's performance attracted so many people - including Stuart Cable, Phill Jupitus and ex Queens of The Stone Age man Nick Oliveri - that many had to watch from outside the tent.



The band make their first appearances in the UK since the festival in October. The fourteen date tour kicks off at Manchester Academy on October 10th and ends with two very special shows at the intimate King Tuts venue in Glasgow on October 23rd and 24th.

Tickets are available from July 29th, priced 12 (Peterborough), 12.50 (Glasgow and Warwick), 15 (London) and 13.50 (all other dates). MC Lars supports.



The band's forthcoming UK single, "Almost", has recently been certified Gold in the US, while the previous single "1985" has just gone multi-platinum. "1985"'s now infamous video, featuring the band dressed as rock legends Motley Crue, was hailed by Nikki Sixx himself as "a classic" and he even offered to loan bassist Erik Chandler one of his original stage costumes!



"Almost" will be released to coincide with the tour and the hilarious video is available at www.bowlingforsoup.com. The band have also recorded a version of "I Melt With You" for the soundtrack to the forthcoming Disney superhero movie "Sky High".
