March 3, 2006 -- WorldWide Flava Television and Bo2 Productions will host the "1st Annual Southeastern Music Community Fest" in Charlotte, North Carolina on March 11, 2006. The conference
will award proceeds to a New Orleans family now residing in Charlotte that was affected by Hurricane Katrina.
The Southeastern Music Community Fest is a one- day entertainment conference that focuses its efforts to educate, empower, and elevate awareness to aspiring entertainers / artist on "How
to Make It Happen in the Entertainment Industry" and a "Music Appreciation" segment for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Charlotte. Over 300 children from local Boys & Girls Clubs will
be treated to performances from several A-list artists and then will have the opportunity to ask questions about pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. "This conference is
dedicated to educating up and coming artists, but we also want to give the artists a chance to give something back to the community," says Bo2 Productions president Lenora Bobo. "Hip hop
is such an important influence on children today. We feel it is our responsibility to put out some positive messages through the music," says Mecca, 1/2 of duo Most HiFi, the new rap duo
introduced by Chuck D (Public Enemy). Most HiFi is just one of the groups that will be performing and speaking to the participants from the Boys & Girls Club.
Registrants will have an opportunity to interact with the panelists and other music professionals from all aspects of the entertainment industry. The conference will honor the "Mayor Pro
Tem Patrick Cannon" for his contributions to the Charlotte community and tenure as a City Councilmen. In addition, Mayor Pro Tem will present Anthony Hamilton with the SMCF Achievement of
the Year Award and Brentson Buckner(Carolina Panthers) with the SMCF Industry Trendsetter of the Year Award. SMCF will also award DJ Toomp with the 2006 SMCF Legendary Achievement
Award.
