NSTI Announces More Than 50 Early Stage Company Reviews at NANOTECH VENTURES 2005

April 21, 2005 -- The Nano Science and Technology Institute (NSTI) today announced its Nanotech Ventures 2005 Conference to be held in Anaheim at the Anaheim Marriott Conference Center will exceed 50 early stage nanotech companies presenting at its annual Early Stage Review.

Small technologies are rapidly maturing from lab to marketplace. The Nanotech Ventures 2005 Early Stage Company Review provides an ideal forum for "seed" to "early-stage" companies to showcase their technologies, market advantages, and to search for funding. Companies are given 15 minutes to present and will have on-site feedback from Nanotech Ventures Vetting Team. This years team includes representatives from such firms as: IBM, Intel Capital, Mohr, Davidow Ventures, Burns Doane, DuPont Ventures, ChevronTexaco Technology Ventures, Motorola Investments, Echelon Ventures, Echelon Ventures, Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr, Harris and Harris Group, Greenberg Traurig, 3i, UBS and Draper Fisher Jurvetson.

exhibitors and sponsors doubling last years record year. "The event was so oversold that we had 16 companies on the waiting list at one point" said Denise Lee, Nanotech 2005 Sales Director. "We had to figure out a way to accommodate these exhibitors so we decided to open another exhibit show after we close the first one after the first 2 days. With a long show like ours with multiple co-located events, we can do this and still deliver good traffic to the show floor."

Nanotech 2005 Early Stage Industry Review

The Agenda: To unite early stage public and pre-IPO small-technology products and intellectual property (IP) with industrial users, funding sources, technology providers and the media and analysts community. This venue will be used to promote the commercial maturation across the nanotechnology landscape, globally from technology to products.
Who Should Sponsor: In addition to our pre-selected review panels, the following will find great value in attending:
- Funding Companies including Venture Capitalists, Angel Investors, Institutional and other Private Investors
- Services and service providers allied to the Nanotech industry.
The Format: NIR is a fast-paced event consisting of a 15-minute briefing covering the products, target customers and business/licensing model for the presenting company. This will be followed by a short review from members of the panel including Q & A. Further one-on-one networking and business development discussions are held in preset meeting areas.

Nanotech Ventures runs concurrently with Nanotech 2005, now celebrating its 8th year, is the world's largest nanotechnology conference of its kind. The three-day conference will profile new companies and technologies and encourage business and scientific discussion among nanotech and financial industry leaders.
