Advion Introduces Nano LC Capability and AUI Software for the NanoMate HD
December 17, 2004 -- Advion BioSciences Inc., a leading provider of electrospray mass spectrometry products has released two new enhancements for its NanoMate HD System technology. They are nano LC column-to-chip coupling and Advanced User Interface software (AUI).
The unique combination of nano LC columns with an electrospray chip gives proteomic researchers the separation qualities of a column with the sensitivity of chip-based nanoelectrospray. Designed to work with all commercially available 75 micron columns, the nano LC column-to-chip coupling feature provides sub fmol detection limits for protein identification and the ability to minimize the risk of sample loss by changing to a new sprayer nozzle during acquisition. Additionally, users can switch between infusion mode and nano LC mode in less than five minutes.
Advion's new AUI software coupled with the NanoMate HD and High Density ESI Chip provides a complete solution for investigating non covalent interactions. The software allows researchers to mix protein and ligand prior to infusion for automated Kd determinations as well as to control incubation time and temperature prior to analysis.
Earlier in the year, Advion introduced a cooling capability as part of the NanoMate system as well as a High Density ESI Chip with 400 nanoelectrospray nozzles.
