The Missouri Office of Homeland Security is providing SafePlans's Emergency Response Information Portal (ERIP) system to all Missouri faith-based organizations to help improve all hazards readiness; to include strategies to prevent, mitigate and respond to church shootings.
We are proud to be Missouri'ss preparedness solution as a core component of the nation'ss largest faith-based organization preparedness initiative, said Brad Spicer, SafePlans founder and
CEO.
Missouri Gov. Ja Nixon addressed a meeting of faith leaders and emergency-management officials from across Missouri to discuss efforts to strengthen Missouri'ss disaster-response
capabilities. The objective of this initiative is a coordinated partnership with local faith-based organizations to enhance emergency-response and recovery efforts in all Missouri
communities.
Faith-based organizations play a critical role in community disaster recovery. These preparedness efforts will help these organizations to more efficiently manage and respond to
emergencies, Spicer said. This not only protects their members; a faster recovery enables community support efforts to commence even sooner.
ERIP is a web-based application that improves preparedness by enabling the development of emergency plans, training of staff with comprehensive e-learning courses and the mapping of
buildings through interactive maps and floor plans. ERIP has also been provided to all Missouri educational facilities.
SafePlans is a nationwide leader in emergency preparedness; providing solutions for education, government and private sector industries. An Advanced Level IBM Business Partner,
SafePlans's ERIP application is IBM'ss premier emergency preparedness system.
