Alacra Launches Alacra Content Marketplace

Alacra Content Marketplace (ACM), a new service launched today by online business information provider Alacra, Inc., will allow small and large publishers to post and sell business research and other content via the company's Alacra Premium and the Alacra Store (g an eCommerce platform. /PPbr //PPbr /Reaching a Customer Base from 75+ Countries/PPbr /The Alacra Store (a href="http://www.alacrastore.com/"linkClick( this.href );">http://www.alacrastore.com/) is an eCommerce site that aggregates business research, data and content for sale. Currently, the Alacra Store offers more than 16 million documents and reports from more than 45 publishers and content providers. Customers from more than 75 countries have purchased business information from the Alacra Store. Additionally, store revenue is currently doubling every six months, as more and more users discover the depth of business research and information available for purchase.

With the new ACM service, publishers can upload documents, label and tag these reports, and set a sell price. The ACM service automatically uploads the information and makes it available for purchase and download via Alacra Premium and the Alacra Store.

"Alacra Content Marketplace provides an innovative, practical solution to publishers, and fits very neatly into our Store and Premium offerings," said Steven Goldstein, chairman and CEO of Alacra. "The Alacra Content Marketplace now makes it even easier for business publishers and data providers to upload their content and sell it to a growing, interested and established audience via these two channels."

At Launch, Six Publishers Signed; Dozens to Follow

At launch, six publishers are signed to provide research and reports via Alacra Content Marketplace, featuring diverse content such as research on small cap companies, Eastern European company data, a database of private Chinese companies, market research about the Asian gaming industry, and various global corporate data. These content providers are: Audit Integrity, IncreMental Advantage, Mergent, Inc., Pearl Research, SeeNews and Wright Investors' Service.

"Publishers need to use sales channels that are responsive to the on-demand needs of today's leading executives to sell premium research and business information effectively," said John Blossom, president and senior analyst for Shore Communications Inc. "Alacra is a respected and proven source for on-demand premium content that has become an essential research tool for many key enterprises. With no cost to the publisher and simple integration, the Alacra Content Marketplace is a valuable new way for publishers to make their content available for purchase to a broad range of highly engaged audiences."

"Through our relationships with the world's largest business content providers, Alacra provides access to the largest number of business research documents in the world," said Mr. Goldstein. "In addition, the vast amount of business data and research available via AlacraStore.com has been tagged with pertinent metadata and is routinely crawled by Google and other search engines, and we're seeing increasing amounts of new visitors finding the research and data we have available via web searches. That built-in stream of users is now available to publishers who choose to sell their information through the Alacra Content Marketplace."

"The Alacra Content Marketplace makes it easy for us to offer our risk research and analysis to the diverse Alacra audience," said Jack Zwingli, CEO, Audit Integrity, a publisher soon to be posting reports through ACM. "Customers can already subscribe to our research directly from Audit Integrity, but via Alacra, we can sell access to individual reports to potential customers interested in our proprietary risk analysis reports. Alacra has built, and continues to grow, an exceptional e-commerce destination for business information."

Mr. Goldstein noted that even small publishers producing just a few documents per week or month -- such as analysts covering niche markets -- and who could not easily sell their content through traditional distribution channels, can make their reports available for sale via ACM.
