The Living History Group, a firm that provides resources for those looking to convey everything history, was recently featured in Charleston Magazine. The monthly magazine provides information on local weddings, real estate, events, local figures, dining, culture and fashion.
The article, titled "Resurrecting the Past" describes the services of the consulting firm and how managing director Craig Hadley got into the business. '"We really are all things history,
from producing documentaries to creating educational programs for elementary school students to conducting archaeological digs," Hadley said in the article. Hadley also comments on
present and future projects, including set design, costume design and developing educational programs for area school districts.
Currently, The Living History Group is working on one of the most comprehensive African American historic sites in the South at Magnolia Plantation. The project is expected to be
completed in February 2009 and will include a restoration of five slave cabins. '"It's our biggest project to date. It's a one-of-a-kind endeavor because of the history and the uniqueness
of Magnolia Plantation and it's truly an honor to be working on something this significant," Hadley said in the article.
Hadley also has experience in writing, archaeology, lecturing at museums about the Civil War and the production and directing of documentaries for various media outlets.
