Mobile Metrics Announces WiMAX Tracing Support for Wireshark



Mobile Metrics announced today that it has updated Wireshark with the capability of tracing WiMAX traffic on the R6, R4 and R3 interfaces. This capability will be generally available in the next Wireshark release (0.99.7), but is also available now in the development stream.



"We and so many others throughout the industry have relied on Wireshark for years," said Asa Atallah, CEO of Mobile Metrics. "And we're pleased to make this small contribution to it in return".



It should be noted that Mobile Metrics, a member company of the WiMAX Forum, checked with the Forum and received permission to go forward with the submission earlier this month.
