Optyan Networks Announces Design Change To Optya Softswitch To Create Best Of Breed VOIP and Media Softswitch
Optyan Networks today announced it has completed its final rounds of financing and those new investments have helped change the shape of its core product, the Optya Softswitch.
After several rounds of financing and engineering redesigns Optyan Networks is now positioned to be the leader in Voice, Large IP and converged media networks. After repeatedly raising funds and changing the core engineering vision the Optya has been deployed in test networks. "Several years of preparation have led us to expand our vision to include not only VOIP services but to also build in state of the industry media rich distribution capabilities," Deepak Patel, CEO announced.
"Technical teams along with some of our best investors and customers continued to drive home our advantage technology must be interrogated to support media rich applications. After years of investment and research we have now created the single greatest cost saving and powerful asset to carrier and large enterprise networks," he said.
Along with the change in direction comes an expanded customer base. The new Optya Softswitch includes two versions: Optyan 5600 (Enterprise Grade) and Optyan 13000 (Carrier Grade) switch. Each switch is currently being tested in the field and will be available for mass distribution beginning in July 2006.
"Our work with the federal and international government along with the growth of enterprise networks to mirror these large carrier networks has created a huge opportunity," said Barrio Rajan, VP of Sales. "Until last year we were focused only on carrier networks but our investors and technology research showed the growth path of traditional enterprise networks. We now believe that the two networks will be similar in size and feel in 5 years. We are building and selling a product that will allow our customers to maximize the future of their existing networks with unprecedented ROI."
Optyan Networks is a privately owned and funded Technology Company that has raised venture capital to implement and build its core product, the Optya Softswitch. All products will be available for shipment in July 2006 and debut is expected in early 2006. The Optya Softswitch has been tested to interoperate with most major networking and software provider systems.
