Azure Wireless Announces the Introduction of IntelliPlan Wireless LAN...

Azure Wireless announced the introduction of IntelliPlan, a service offering that delivers a strategy-based blueprint for Wi-Fi network implementation that meets current needs while providing a platform for lowest cost, interruption-free coverage and capacity expansion and enhancement to support advanced features, such as voice over WLAN or asset location services.



IntelliPlan was introduced in response to a growing number of enterprises who have realized that business goals, process improvements, changing environments, competitive pressures and a growing reliance on the wireless network could not be cost-effectively addressed by their current wireless network development approach and requested the firm to assist in the development of a strategic wireless network and mobility plan. IntelliPlan also allows organizations to incorporate new wireless networking capabilities and advancements for increased capacity and network security that were not available at the time of the legacy wireless network development.



"After a few years, early adopters of wireless LANs are recognizing that their current wireless LANs are not well-suited to supporting long-term goals and requirements. The early wireless networks were designed to provide coverage for portable network access and are not readily upgraded to provide additional capacity or support applications that require true mobility and roaming such as wireless voice. IntelliPlan enables enterprises to cost-effectively meet new wireless network requirements without having to shut down the network and disrupt applications in order to rearrange the wireless network.," said John Polakowski, president of Azure Wireless.



Enterprises that have not previously implemented wireless networks can benefit from IntelliPlan, utilizing it as a blueprint for wireless deployment in accordance with budget and operational requirements, with confidence that they will be able to expand coverage and capacity and implement advanced applications without re-engineering legacy portions of the WLAN.
