China Unicom Americas Launches China Ethernet Connect ServiceBetween...

China Unicom Americas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Beijing based China Unicom Group, today announced the launch of its's China Ethernet Connect service providing for private line Ethernet service between the USA and China. The recently inaugurated service is an enhanced international managed bandwidth offering providing multinational corporations with dedicated point-to-point or point-to-multipoint connectivity with a standard Ethernet interface. The service is fully scalable supporting data rates between 4MB and 1000MB.

We are delighted with the launch of China Ethernet Connect and are pleased to introduce this newest offering in response to the enterprise applications and capacity requirements of our clients. We initially launched international Ethernet private line service between Beijing and Hong Kong years ago and have continually expanded our service capability since that time. Today, we welcome China Ethernet Connect to our family of China Unicom Connect Services between the USA and China and between China and Europe, said Mr. Yitao Wu, President of China Unicom Americas.

He further stated, Our clients expect that we will continually invest to deliver high quality, low latency, cost effective and diversely routed connectivity solutions to support next generation applications. Our China Ethernet Connect offering is superior to MPLS based Ethernet solutions since we can provision the service at Layer 1, with dedicated bandwidth, affording SDH Ring protection with less than 50ms switch over time, unified end-to-end management and monitoring of the circuits and with 99.99% network availability.
