EEG Spectrum International Announces Neurofeedback Professional Training
The EEG Spectrum International Neurofeedback in a Clinical Practice Course, will be held September 27-30, 2007 at the Doubletree Hotel, 1909 Spring Road, Oak Brook, IL (a Chicago suburb). Neurofeedback is an emerging non-invasive approach to addressing symptoms associated with a broad range of issues. Neurofeedback is currently approved for stress reduction but is also being explored for its potential to address symptoms commonly found in individuals with ADHD, anxiety or seizure disorders, among others.
"The purpose of this training course, is to present a comprehensive approach to the clinical application of the emerging EEG biofeedback (neurofeedback) modality," said John Hollister, President and CEO, EEG Spectrum International (ESI).
Hollister said, "Attendees participate in a combination of lecture and multiple hands-on practicum sessions, in order to provide a thorough understanding of the basics of neurofeedback. The course is intended for a broad range of mental health professionals, including clinical psychologists, neuropsychologists, psychiatrists, educational therapists, clinical social workers, rehabilitation specialists and academic researchers. It's also a good refresher course for current neurofeedback practitioners."
