When asked what inspired Greenwood to write this song, she replied, "When I arrived for my teenage students' guitar lesson, she was very upset. After sharing her feelings about a girl she knew that had been assaulted by a teenage boy, she said this girl was just, " Too Good" to have such a thing happen. These words inspired me to write this song to enlighten girls to not be manipulated and take back their power. For years working as a Hairstylist I've heard many stories, this music video is a great opportunity to start the conversation on this difficult subject."
The Status Of Girls Report, sponsored by Alverno College and state women's groups, showed 42 percent of girls 15 or younger reported their first sexual contact was not consensual, ranging from unwanted touching in the school hallways to Saturday night date rape, both are unacceptable and illegal. In over eight out of ten cases the victim knew the alleged offender, and seven out of ten victims were assaulted in a private home. Sexual assault is a crime that takes away an individual's power.
Various scenes in the Music Video were filmed in Los Gatos, California, by Miracle Productions. Instrumentation was performed by Robert Berry at Soundtek Studios in Campbell, CA.
