Cutting Edge Talk Show Brings Barbecue and Grilling to the Mainstream

Original radio program "The BBQ Central Show" offers a unique, entertaining look at the art and sport of barbecue and grilling, on Internet radio's leader LA Talk Radio.

"The BBQ Central Show" brings a unique perspective and dedication to an industry that has seen unparalleled growth within the last 5 years. Broadcast from Cleveland, Ohio, the show is hosted, produced, and engineered by Greg Rempe, a barbeque and grilling aficionado and expert, and airs every Tuesday evening 9PM-10PM EST on LA Talk Radio.

"I've been doing 'The BBQ Central Show' in some form or fashion for a little over 2 years," says Rempe. "TV has their cooking shows but there is no program on talk radio that addresses this industry on a regular basis, and I am changing that." The show consists of 4 segments and includes editorial thoughts from Rempe, a "How To" segment, a feature interview and a giveaway to end the program.

Recent guests on The BBQ Central Show included Jack's Old South Pit Master Myron Mixon, who talked about his power cooking method; Ray "Dr. BBQ" Lampe who talked about his new tailgating cookbook, wine; marketing guru Gary Vaynerchuk who talked about what wines to pair with your barbecue; and TV host and cookbook author Steven Raichlen, who talked about his new show and upcoming book. Other guests have included Kevin Bevington from HomeBBQ.com Rod Gray of Pellet Envy, Jim Minion of Two Loose Screws BBQ and Ed "Fast Eddy Maurin.

"I put in a lot of work during the week to make sure my show content is enjoyable to both the novice BBQer and to the folks on the competition circuit. I don't ask my guests the same old questions everyone else does. I want the good stuff that you don't usually get out of them. I think the listeners enjoy that aspect of my show," says Rempe. "I pride myself on my ability to work off a structured environment but also have the skills to go off the top of my head if the opportunity presents itself," he adds.

Rempe aims to catapult The BBQ Central Show to new heights. "This show will eventually be on the air in syndication across the country," Rempe says, "but for now, LA Talk Radio is giving me the perfect platform I need in order to take 'The BBQ Central Show' to the next level."
