TV Personality Bianca Alexander Ushers in New Era of Television on Purposedriven Shows
May 11, 2005 -- TV Personality and Life Coach, Bianca Alexander is quickly becoming the "it girl" for television programming aimed at entertaining with a purpose. She joins the TV One network as Co-Host of Can You Dig It, a home and garden improvement show. The recent wave of positive programming is becoming more prevalent, from talk show queen Oprah Winfrey's Angel Network to hit reality-based programs such as Starting Over. Premiering this June, Can You Dig It is just what this conscious living expert calls effective and fun programming. "I love that we are able to show everyday African American families taking pride in their homes and gardens. More importantly, we made a difference in the lives of families from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, from urban dwellers living in apartments to celebrities living in luxurious mansions. We created everything from inexpensive landscaping in pots to fabulous gardens in acre plus yards," Bianca added. Her list of hosting credits includes some of the most successful programs on Lifetime, the TV Guide Channel, Comcast and various regional cable networks.
Bianca Alexander is a trailblazer by all accounts. A prominent entertainment attorney for nearly a decade, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and French language and literature from Princeton University and the Sorbonne, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia. Answering the call to direct her own path and empowering others to do the same, she resigned from a prestigious executive level position in corporate America five years ago with no regrets. Inspired by her success and the overwhelmingly positive response to her life-changing career move, Bianca wrote the much anticipated "Girls Guide to Leaving Your Corporate Job and Living the Life of Your Dreams", due out this Fall.
Her numerous professional affiliations include, among others, Women In Film, Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association, Female Executives in Music and Entertainment, the Black Hollywood Executives Network and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Well on her way to becoming a household name in Talk TV, Bianca attributes her success to "a strong connection with God and an unending willingness to serve as a vessel for world change by uniting and helping others."
A native of Washington D.C., Bianca currently resides in Los Angeles with the love of her life and husband Michael.
