Search Rescue Fund Established As Family Clings to Hope
The family of missing, Trevor Stokol, announced today that hey have established a fund in hopes of offsetting some of the expense associated with search and rescue efforts for Trevor.
Trevor Stokol, 25, of Dallas, planned to visit the base camp at Mt. Everest at the conclusion of his world travels, prior to entering medical school on August 15 at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
Trevor was last seen, Friday, July 22. It was not his intent to climb the mountain. He merely wanted to venture far enough from the base camp to be able to take good photographs of Mt. Everest. He did not return from what was to be a brief outing.
Knowing of James Scott's 41-day survival on Mt. Everest fuels the family's hopes for Trevor's rescue and safe return. Trevor's mother and sister have joined the father in Nepal. At the request of the family, the 1st Special Response Group (1SRG), a non-profit, international search and rescue team based at Moffett Field, CA, has become an integral part of facilitating and coordinating search efforts in Nepal.
Please make checks payable to:
