Fashion God Mother, Barbara Green offers real Help to Fashion Designers, Fashion Models, Fashion Photographers, Makeup Artist, Hair Stylist, Fashion Producers and Other Fashion
Enthusiasts - For Those Entering The Field As Newbies.
Whatever happened to a helping hand! So many of our young fashion enthusiasts are having their fashion dreams shattered because no one is willing to give them a helping hand. Creativity,
talent and potential fashion greats are being lost because no one is there to help them enter the fashion world.
Designers can't create if they have no funds for fabric, models can't be seen if they are not in visible shows or other areas, photographers can't show their work, if they have no models
to shoot - and it goes on and on.
Sixty-Eight year old B.J. Green decided to give back to the community by helping young fashion entrepreneurs when she created The PaceSetter Consortorium Group, inc. a non-profit
organization that support and promote individuals who are involved in the fashion industry.Ms. Green realized very quickly that there was a large void in Georgia to help fashion newbies
show their talent. She was shocked to find that many talented individuals who had graduated from fashion design schools were not aware of the basic avenues to show their talent. They also
lacked funds to help promote their talent. She decided to fill that void with the creation of The PaceSetter Consortorium Group,Inc.
In surfing the internet to find John Kerry's site for volunteers, Ms. Green ran across the Meetup Group. She joined the Atlanta Fashion Industry Group only to find that there was no real
participation. That's when she decided that something needed to be done. She took over as organizer and brought the group's attendance rate from three to 20 to 30 members in attendance
each third Sunday of the month.
Ms. Green accomplished this by having speakers who imparted information that the group needed, but often could not obtain. The neworking group is a means for opening the door to newbies
in the fashion field as a resource and education vehicle as well as a social one. The members help each other to succeed. That is the main criteria of the group.
Partnering with The PaceSetter Consortorium Group, Inc. Offers its members the chance to show their skills through different promotional venues, such as fashion productions, our
newsletter, our website and different fashion events. Our mission is to help our members succeed in the fashion industry through education, collaboration, resources, networking, and
interaction with other industry professionals.
Our members range from fashion designers - to fashion models - to fashion photographers - to makeup artist - to hair stylist - and other fashion enthusiats. Ms. Green, in the fashion
industry since she was 15, chose the alternate area of producing fashion productions and promoting when she realized that she could never obtain her dream of supermodel because she was
too short. Ms. Green has worked extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe and is recognized for her spectacular special event creations and her theme fashion show productions.
She is particularly concerned about imparting to fashion newbies the necessity of being prepared to enter this field and the steps that one must take to be successful. Wanting to be great
in the field is not enough; one must work diligently and passionately to succeed.
