Due to the devastating floods of 2006, the Costa Eagle Radio Group of the Merrimack Valley which includes WNNW AM 800, WCCM AM 1490 and WCEC AM 1110 will hold a Radio Marathon on Friday
May 26th from 8 AM to 6 PM at Appleton Place (next to Lawrence City Hall) to gather food, clothing and donations for the many flood victims who have been affected by this tremendous
disaster.
Costa Eagle Radio has partnered up with Merrimack Valley Federal Credit Union and other prominent businesses thought the community to obtain corporate donations and funding for the many
needy families of Lawrence, Methuen, Haverhill and throughout the Merrimack Valley. Listeners of the stations will be encouraged to attend and participate in helping their friends,
families, and neighbors who are in need of their support.
Patrick Costa, CEO of Costa Eagle Radio stated, "This is an unprecedented time in our history, and an appropriate time for all of our stations to band together as one to support our
community. The stations are licensed to the communities of Lawrence, Haverhill and Salem, NH respectively. These communities are at the heart of the devistation."
"Our goal is to raise as much as we can, as quickly as we can, so that the families can get back to some form of normalcy.", stated John Bassett, Station Manager of WCCM 1490 AM. "All of
the employees of Costa Eagle Radio we well as our independent producers will be participating in this day long event in English and Spanish."

The event will be broadcast all day on three stations and will also be heard around the world via the stations internet streams.
