Herber Aircraft Service, which started as a two-room sales office in the shadow of Los Angeles International Airport, celebrates its 30th anniversary. The company is owned and managed by founder Bruce Herber, a private pilot who has built an international business as an aircraft parts distributor and manufacturer.

Bruce Herber started the company in 1978 after gaining sales experience in aviation. The company was an early value-added stocking distributor of Aeroquip fluid conveyance parts for aerospace and today is the largest distributor of Eaton Aeroquip hoses in the world. The company also distributes products by LORD, Flexfab, HBD/Thermoid, and other Eaton product lines, including Stanley Aurora and Sierracin-Harrison.

As the company grew, it added manufacturing and repair capabilities. The company is FAA-approved to manufacture and overhaul the EGT and engine harnesses of most commercial aircraft engine manufacturers, including Pratt 's38; Whitney, General Electric, International Aero Engines (IAE), Rolls-Royce, and CFM. Herber Aircraft Service also assembles, retrofits and repairs hoses.

In recent years the company has significantly increased worldwide sales through a sales office in the United Kingdom and trade show participation in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
