The Sri Lankan House Party for Tsunami Benefit



May 16, 2005 -- London's rock underground has come together to put on an all day event in order to raise money for tsunami affected areas of Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan House Party: A Tsunami Benefit Gig (www.srilankanhouseparty.com) will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, 18th June 2005 at Mean Fiddler (formerly the LA2), 165 Charing Cross Road, London, WC2.

Ticket prices are 10, and the money from the Sri Lankan House Party goes to rebuild houses in Sri Lanka. Tickets are on sale at www.srilankanhouseparty.com.

The gig will features 2 stages of the best new and breaking rock acts in London. Plus there will be a rare underground music market. It promises to be an exciting day for all.

Bands confirmed so far are Djevara, The Primates, 8 Year Old Mum, Kazumo, Evanfly, The Fore, Southern Suspects, Joel Linsey, Blanket, Clare Portman and Rob Cushman.

All proceeds go to Sarvodaya in Sri Lankan to rebuild houses in costal communities.
