Wycliffe Foundation Announces $689000 Gift

Wycliffe Foundation announced today it received a $689,000 gift through a bequest.

The gift comes from a donor in Rockledge, Penn., who named Wycliffe Bible Translators USA as the beneficiary of one-third of her estate. Her gift will provide funding for worldwide Bible translation efforts.

The undesignated gift will pass through Wycliffe Foundation to Wycliffe USA to support areas most in need of funding, as determined by Wycliffe USA.

The Foundation was established to support the mission of Wycliffe Bible Translators and its affiliates by helping raise funds through planned gifts to accomplish the goal of Vision 2025, getting a Bible translation program started in every language that needs it by the year 2025. Currently there are more than 2,500 language groups and 380 million people still without the Bible in their heart language.
