Kids Off The Block Inc. Giving AtRisk Youth Positive Alternatives



Kids Off The Block (KOB) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization called the "Social Center". KOB was established in September of 2003.

Our mission is to give at-risk low income youth positive alternatives to gangs, drugs, truancy, violence, and the juvenile justice system. We accomplish this by offering youth Tutoring/Mentoring, Music, Drama, Sports, and Local/Out of Town Travel.

We provide positive change by providing an environment where youth feel safe and secure.
There are six departments within our organization: Youth, Public Safety, Health and Wellness, Education, Economics (Entrepreneuralship), and Seniors. Each play a vital role in providing opportunities and awareness for the youth, their families, and the community.

We service youth ages 6 to 19 years old. Program hours are Monday thru Friday 4pm to 8pm during school months. Our summer programs exposes youth to the arts, retreats, sports competitions, and special outtings.

To date we have assisted over 70 youth in the Roseland community and the Greater Chicagoland area.
