American Red Cross Bay Area Unveils Unprecedented ThreeYear Disaster Preparedness Campaign
The American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter introduces "Prepare Bay Area" (PBA), the most comprehensive preparedness campaign ever launched in the Bay Area. PBA is a unique operational campaign designed to get one million Bay Area residents in a six county area committed to and demonstrating preparedness within three years. To achieve this goal, PBA is partnering with businesses, faith communities, government agencies, non-profits, schools, community organizations and ethnic and neighborhood communities to deliver "how to" information and training everywhere Bay Area people work, play and worship. The campaign additionally focuses upon vulnerable communities, most at risk in a disaster.
Specifics of this plan will be announced at a press conference during "We Prepare Business," a conference to train Bay Area businesses for the event of a disaster.
