Connect the World Forms Youth and Young Adults Programs group toCombat...

Connect the World (CTW) announced it has launched a new group today dedicated to Youth and Young Adults Programs.

The Youth and Young Adults Programs will focus on the contribution that this next generation of leaders can make to the social and economical problems faced by them and their piers around the world. The programs group will be headed up Andrea Gray and Kimberly Gray. They are not new to CTW, their mother and stepfather, Bonnie and Peter Matourek, are the founders.

Speaking during a staff meeting, James Anderson, Executive Director, indicated the reasoning behind this new endeavor was the message that must resonate within the communities which CTW are involved, is one of economic regeneration, education and social responsibility.

Part of the way that CTW is helping these communities to deliver on these pillars is via data proliferation, which is something that the technical savvy generation which this division focuses on has turned into a lifeline technology. Through this group, CTW is reaching out to universities, youth groups, peer to peer meeting points, social networking groups and other like minded organizations to share ideas, fundraising events, and call to actions.

When asked about their reasoning for taking on this responsible, Andrea and Kimberly said: We believe that as the next generation of leaders, we have an obligation to ensure that all countries are able to pursue an economical and social agenda which is based on a peaceful and level playing field. This can only happen with programs like this which provide the basic needs of the community which in turn allows them to further develop in this connected global world.

Andrea Gray is a recent graduate of New York University and is pursuing a law degree from Pace University. She has participated in People-to-People Young Leaders and has spent many years traveling through underdeveloped countries to gain insight to cultural differences.

Kimberly Gray is a current student at University of North Carolina, Wilmington and plans on attending Medical School upon graduation. She, like Andrea, has also participated with People-to-People Young Leaders as well as Model UN in The Haage, Netherlands. Kimberly has spent time also traveling throughout the world, which has given her insight as well to the culture differences countries face.
