Humanity First teams quickly arrived on the ground in northern Pakistan after the 7.6 magnitude earthquake devastated the region. Along with HF sister organizations, HF USA is providing
food, water, and medicine to earthquake victims. With the death toll at 50,000 and rising, immediate relief is needed.
HF USA, an independent, not-for-profit humanitarian relief organization with sister organizations in several countries around the world, quickly mobilized by sending teams of medical
personnel and cartons of food, water, and supplies to the region. Presently, teams from the U.S., England, Germany, and Pakistan have set up camps in the worst affected areas, including
Muzaffarabad, Balakot, and Rawalkot. These camps are providing shelter for the thousands displaced, as well as meals, water, clothing, blankets, and medical care.
Hundreds of volunteers are manning the camps with more arriving in the coming weeks. HF teams, made up of both medical and non-medical volunteers, are in constant rotation. At writing, HF
is awaiting an extra provision of 3,000 blankets, clothing, water, and other supplies from the U.K.Doctors and paramedics are working around the clock to care for the thousands injured in
this horrific catastrophe. Along with two tons of essential medicines and bandages, doctors also have ten IHP (emergency health packs) at their disposal. Across the border, a forty-foot
container of clothing, food, and water has arrived in Indian-held Kashmir and is being distributed to the earthquake victims in the region. Continued donations to Humanity First
organizations worldwide are being distributed as they arrive.
HF has successfully provided relief during past disasters in Iran, the tsunami region of Asia, and Liberia, and presently remains on the ground providing relief in the hurricane-ravaged
areas near the U.S. Gulf Coast. Through public support, HF continues to make a difference in the lives of many around the world.
