NFL Star Georgia Native Charles Grant Hosts Celebrity Weekend Fundraiser...

Each year, the Charles Grant S.A.C.K. Success Foundation hosts the signature fundraiser weekend to provide resources for at-risk, inner city youth in New Orleans, Atlanta and Grant's hometown of Colquitt, GA. Organizations benefiting from this year's efforts are the Boys & Girls Club, the YMCA, Communities in Schools, Operation Hope, and Positive Vibes among others

Atlanta, GA June 16, 2008 -- New Orleans Saints defensive end Charles Grant will host the 3rd Annual Bayou Bling Celebrity Charity Weekend in Atlanta from June 20-22, 2008. Each year, the Charles Grant S.A.C.K. Success Foundation hosts the signature fundraiser weekend to provide resources for at-risk, inner city youth in New Orleans, Atlanta and Grant's hometown of Colquitt, GA. Organizations benefiting from this year's efforts are the Boys & Girls Club, the YMCA, Communities in Schools, Operation Hope, and Positive Vibes among others. Confirmed celebrities include DJ Mannie Fresh, Jagged Edge, nearly 40 NFL and NBA stars, and many more.

"I am totally committed to making a difference in the lives of youth," said Grant. "There are so many people in need throughout the city of New Orleans and across this nation. My foundation is dedicated to reaching more and more kids through our community outreach programs."

"Bayou Bling," organized by EDGE 3M Sports & Entertainment, includes a free youth football clinic in College Park and a celebrity basketball game in DeKalb County. VIP affairs include Bowlin' with Ballers night hosted by Jagged Edge at Atlanta 300 on June 20, and the acclaimed Rolls-Royce sponsored Player's Ball at the Mason Murer Art Gallery on June 21. The weekend will close out with a celebrity pool party presented by Upscale Magazine at the W Hotel-Perimeter. Proceeds from the weekend activities will go towards various Charles Grant S.A.C.K. Success Foundation projects including, the Grant Go-Getters youth recognition program, Grant's Gridiron Football Camps and the Charles Grant Kids Day Out.
