With the reality of tough economic times, unprecedented layoffs and families struggling to make ends meet, Green Lake United Methodist Church will be offering a free coffee house ministry from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday starting September 14 at the church to give people relief from the daily grind and find hope in their community.
We want to help people get back on their feet, says the Reverend Lisa Anthony, the pastor of the church. It might be a person who'ss homeless living in their car, a family now living on
one salary instead of two or a student living month to month, barely making ends meet.
Along with a free cup of java, the church, located on the corner of North 65th St and 1st Ave NE near Green Lake in Seattle, will offer:

* Local resource lists to help people find needed employment, housing and food
* Weekday and evening meditative yoga classes
* Weekly bible studies and fellowship for families of all ages
