The International Virtual Assistants Association (IVAA) is pleased to announce this year'ss Board of Directors. The IVAA is the leading organization for virtual assistants worldwide. A Virtual Assistant is an independent entrepreneur who provides administrative, creative, financial and/or technical services, utilizing technological modes of communication and data delivery to assist clients in their area of expertise. The IVAA Board of Directors works to further the mission of professional development for virtual assistants and educating the public about the benefits of utilizing virtual assistants in their businesses. The following virtual assistants are serving as directors on this year'ss Board.
Cindy Opong, Creative Assistants (http://www.creativeassistants.com) in Colorado Springs, CO, serves the IVAA Board as the President and
chair of the Online Educational Summit. Last year, Cindy served as the President-Elect and previously as the Director of Membership for the IVAA. She has volunteered on the annual Online
Educational Summit and Live Summit committees. Creative Assistants provides Virtual Assistance to technology professionals including marketing support, website design 's38; maintenance,
sub-contractor management, presentation design, e-mail management and computer training.
Jeannine Clontz, Accurate Business Services (http://www.accbizsvcs.com) in St. Louis, MO, serves a second term as Vice-President/President-Elect
and will serve as the Association'ss President again from 2010-2011. ABS has been in business for almost eleven years assisting speakers, consultants and REALTORS in managing Internet
technology and marketing to increase their client base and overall success. She is the co-author of the wildly successful 'show to's book, Entrepreneurial Freedom, helps start-up and
established VAs build strong and profitable businesses through her Coaching programs (http://www.VAbizcoach.com), and was recently honored as the
2009 SBA (http://www.sba.gov) St. Louis District Home-Based Business Champion; NAWBO St. Louis Member of the Year; and Thomas Leonard International
Virtual Assistant of Distinction.
Marsha Kopan, Executive Secretarial Services (http://www.execsecsrv.com) in West Allis, WI, continues to serve the IVAA Board as Secretary. Marsha
previously served on the IVAA Board as VP of Membership, and on the Summit and Web Committees. Executive Secretarial Services has specialized in Association Management since 1998 and
freelance paralegal services since 2005. Marsha holds a Bachelor of Science in English, the IVAA EthicsCheck's8482;, CVA and CRESS designations, and is a Paralegal and Notary.
Kelly Poelker, Another 8 Hours, Inc. (http://www.Another8Hours.com) in O'sFallon, IL serves the IVAA Board as Treasurer. Kelly is a certified
Master Virtual Assistant, Director of Academy of Virtual Professionals, and author of several books including Virtual Assistant - The Series: Become a Highly Successful, Sought After VA
and its accompanying workbook edition. Another 8 Hours has been servicing clients across the country since early 2000.
Lara Nieberding, The Data Digger (http://www.thedatadigger.com) in Salisbury, MD serves as Historian on the IVAA Board of Directors. Lara
continues to serve on the IVAA Live Summit and IVAA Online Summit planning committees. As a professional reader, Lara offers The Data Digger, an Internet monitoring service. Lara holds a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Arts and a Social Media Marketing Specialist certification.
Lauren Hidden, The Hidden Helpers (http://www.thehiddenhelpers.com) in New Cumberland, PA, serves as the IVAA Board as the Director of
Marketing/PR. Lauren has previously served the Board in the role of the IVAACast Managing Editor, the association'ss online magazine. The Hidden Helpers has been providing editorial
services and virtual support to entrepreneurs and authors nationwide since 2003. Lauren is the co-author of two books: Write It Right: The Ground Rules for Self-Editing Like the Pros and
Entrepreneurial Freedom: How to Start and Grow a Profitable Virtual Assistance Practice. She previously served as Secretary with the Central Pennsylvania Association for Female
Executives.
Lanel Taylor, Taylored Office Solutions, Inc. (http://www.tayloredofficesolutions.com) in Hayden, ID, serves as the IVAA Board as the
Director of Certification. Since 2003, Taylored Office Solutions has specialized in full-charge bookkeeping, payroll and tax preparation services for small to mid-size companies. In
addition to helping her clients's businesses grow and succeed, Lanel takes time to mentor new and aspiring virtual assistants as well, in turn helping even more businesses succeed. Lanel
holds the Certified Virtual Assistant designation and is also a founding director of the Inland Northwest Virtual Assistants Alliance.
Nancy Seeger, Arts Assistance (http://www.artsassistance.com), Fairfax, VA, is a newly elected member to the IVAA Board of Directors and serves
as the Benefits Director. Her company, Arts Assistance, is a Virtual Assistance firm specializing in website design and graphic layout, serves clients in the music industry, web
development firms and small businesses. A former orchestra administrator of sixteen years, Ms. Seeger holds a Web Technologies certification from the International Webmaster Association.
With IVAA, she serves also on the Live Summit committee, Web Director'ss team and has designed the vasummit.org websites for IVAA.
Melanie O'sKane, MAD Typing and Consulting (http://www.madtyping.com) in Madison, Wisconsin, is newly-elected to the IVAA Board and serves by
running the IVAACast, the association'ss online magazine with over 11,000 subscribers. Melanie has previously served the IVAACast in the roles of associate editor, advertising
coordinator, design/layout coordinator, and staff writer. She'ss also volunteered with the IVAA'ss mentorship and online summit departments. Additionally, Melanie is the author of two
e-books: How to Become a Successful Virtual Assistant and How to Establish Your Fees, the host of VA Radio, and a member of the Wisconsin Virtual Assistant Network. MAD Typing and
Consulting has been providing virtual business support and creative services to clients throughout the U.S. since 2002 and is backed by Melanie'ss 22+ years of business experience.
Candy Beauchamp, OffAssist (http://www.offassist.com) in Austin, TX, is the Web Team Director. Candy has served as IVAA President, Vice President
and Historian in recent years. Candy has been in business since 2002 and specializes in bookkeeping for small to medium businesses. She holds the IVAA CVA, EthicsCheck's8482;, and CRESS
certifications. She has also created 2 Minutes with a VA (http://www.2minuteswithava.com ) to provide video answers to new VA questions. She
got her start more than a decade ago by being mentored by an Enrolled Agent (EA) while attending the University of Hawaii. She is also a member in good standing with the American
Institute of Professional Bookkeepers.
Doreen DeJesus, Ambicionz (http://www.ambicionz.com) in Tobyhanna, PA, serves on the IVAA Board as the Membership Director. Ambicionz has been
providing virtual support to coaches, entertainers, entrepreneurs, real estate professionals, speakers and writers since 2004. Doreen currently holds the position of Co-Chair for IVAA'ss
Annual Live Summit as well as contributes as a staff writer to the association'ss online magazine, the IVAACast. Doreen holds certifications as a Graduate Virtual Assistant (GVA),
Author'ss Assistant, Real Estate Support Specialist (CRESS), Real Estate Assistant (CREA) and 1Shopping Cart Technician.
