The Obama administration has challenged everyone to pay more attention to their political surroundings, and the May 19th California statewide special is a perfect test case. Most people don'st have time to read the Voter Information Guide that is put out by the Secretary of State - or they find themselves trying to speed read the guide while waiting in line at the polls. The Easy Voter Project and Video Voter have partnered to make California Voters's lives a little easier by producing Voter Minutes - short video versions of the Voter Information Guide. Betsy Rosenfeld of Video Voter says, Voter Minutes provide a quick path to understanding Propositions 1A - 1F - and because we are non-partisan, they are free from the influence of supporter/opponent bias.
Video Voter'ss goal in producing Voter Minutes is to demonstrate to state and local governments the benefit of providing their electorate with easy to consume voter information. Video
Voter has helped many government entities improve their voter education offerings, including Santa Monica, Los Angeles, and New York City. Video Voter participates in the process across a
range of disciplines, from video production to advice on legal matters to how to shoot for and upload to YouTube.
