'sWhere in the World Books's give customers the opportunity to create a personalized story about the child for whom they are purchasing the book. Customers input child'ss first and last
name and choose the illustrations appropriate to that specific child. The child'ss chosen illustrations and name are incorporated into the storyline, and through state of the art print
technology, their names are incorporated into the photography and illustrations. The collection of personalized books currently includes seven stories - 'sThat'ss My Dog,(dog'ss name)'s
'sThat'ss My Cat,(cat'ss name)'s 'sYou Name It,'s 's(Child'ss name) is Pink and White and Cute All Over's 'sAn Amazing Day at the Zoo with (child'ss name)'s 'sAn Amazing Day at the Beach
with (child'ss name)'s and 'sI Want to Read My Name in Lights.'s In April 2009, 'sWhere in the World Books's announced that 100% of the proceeds from the sales of 'sThat'ss My Dog's and
'sThat'ss My Cat's will go to animal shelters in need. The goal of the 'sWhere in the World Books's is to motivate children to read, improve children'ss literacy, and give back.
Research shows that when a story is personalized a child'ss curiosity is enhanced and they better identify with the story line and with the characters, said Jan Krystkowiak, founder of
'sWhere in the World Books. When a story reflects things that are familiar in a child'ss personal life, it is more meaningful. Stories that are meaningful will enhance a child'ss
motivation to read, help children stay focus and improve retention of what they have read. You will never see these books at a rummage sale or donation. Kids keep these for a lifetime!
Jan Krystkowiak has been writing children'ss books and creating unique products since 2003. Two of the other children'ss books that she has written, 'sThe Tale of Fatty Catty's and 'sI
