Women Of Inspiration Scholarship Names EHF Board Member

At their 2006 graduation ceremony, College Of The Redwoods Mendocino Campus (CRMC), Fort Bragg, CA honored Debbie Banks-Tyndall by naming her in this year's8217;s Women Of Inspiration scholarship.

Debbie Banks-Tyndall is truly a Woman Of Inspiration. She is a professional woman, blending a family of 5 children with her husband, Kevin. Debbie commutes 2 hours a day to a busy urban hospital in Sacramento, CA where she works as a full time Registered Nurse in a Labor and Delivery unit. Often, she's8217;s charged with providing life saving medical care to new mothers and babies.

Back home, she's8217;s a full-time Mom, caring for a large family. Even with this challenging schedule, Debbie finds time to serve on the Board of Directors for E-Home Fellowship Corporation (EHF) and to search the EHF website (www.way2hope.org), looking for people to help. As inspiring as her work is, this is only a small part of the reason Debbie was named for the 2006 Women Of Inspiration scholarship at College Of The Redwoods Mendocino Campus (CRMC), Fort Bragg, CA.

When you meet Debbie, there is nothing to suggest why she is so qualified and so driven to inspire and help people with all sorts of problems. You see a well-dressed, articulate woman who maintains good eye contact and is intensely interested in everything that's8217;s being said and done. What isn's8217;t apparent is how far she's8217;s come to get to where she is today, but this is the most inspiring part of Debbie's8217;s story.

As a child and young teen, Debbie was repeatedly abused. She escaped the abusive environment in her teens only to end up a victim of repeated domestic violence by a husband in her 20's8217;s. Though addicted to drugs, Debbie managed to escape this relationship. By her early 30's8217;s, Debbie had become a single homeless mother living in a car with her children. Any one of the experiences that led to this moment would have crushed most people but this is the moment Debbie became a Woman Of Inspiration.

Debbie will tell you it was God, with the help and encouragement of others around her that gave her the strength and determination to go from being a homeless single mom, to a single Mom putting herself through college, to a married, educated, professional woman with her own home in beautiful Camino, CA all in about 10 years time.

Debbie's8217;s story should be required reading in every high school so each child can know, no matter what life throws at them, there is hope. Her vast experience and dramatic achievements are what make Debbie a living example of the way to hope for people who are abused, addicted, beaten, suffering marriage, parenting or financial problems who search the internet and find her help at www.way2hope.org. Debbie Banks-Tyndall is a cherished treasure at EHF and clearly a Woman Of Inspiration.
