Acupuncture Continuing Education Courses Online Expands Open Source...



Acupuncture continuing education courses online are offered by the Healthcare Medicine Institute (HealthCMI) at https://www.healthcmi.com . Acupuncture courses can be downloaded instantly and an online quiz is provided so that acupuncturists may receive California CEU, Florida CE, and NCCAOM PDA credit towards acupuncture license renewal. HealthCMI is pleased to announce several upcoming acupuncture continuing education courses online. "Acupuncture courses for continuing education credit provide important resources for clinical treatment to acupuncturists. The Healthcare Medicine Institute (HealthCMI) has contracted with professors from several acupuncture colleges and schools to provide high quality continuing education courses online. Our goal is to provide quality educational materials for licensed acupuncturists," said Adam White. "We expect our next course on the topic of pediatric disorders to be published shortly and several new courses will provide continuing education credits both for nurses and acupuncturists in all states that license acupuncture." HealthCMI plans to launch the nursing continuing education online department in early 2008 to complement its acupuncture continuing education department.



HelathCMI presents two courses featuring the topic of pelvic inflammatory disease. PID and Chinese Medicine, Part One is a detailed look at pelvic inflammatory disease and covers both western and Chinese Medicine diagnostics and treatment for PID. Complications such as fallopian tube infections, menorrhagia (abnormally heavy bleeding at menstruation), endometritis (inflammation of the uterine lining), dysmenorrhea, lower abdominal pain, leukorrhea (vaginal discharge), and infertility are also covered in this continuing education course. PID and Chinese Medicine, Part Two includes a special section on cervical infections, cervicitis, and cervical dysplasia with an in-depth analysis and treatment system. This course features an additional 14 herbal formulas plus a newly added summary table of the formulas for clinical application purposes. PID and Chinese Medicine, Part Two is approved for 7 California CEU credits, 6 Florida CE license credits, and 6 NCCAOM PDA points.



HealthCMI will launch its dental continuing education online division in 2008. "Dentistry is a complex and engaging field with a dynamic base of emerging innovations. The ADA conference in San Francisco this year featured advancements in medicine that HealthCMI will soon present online for ADA CERP dental continuing education credit online," said Adam White. "Dr. Van Stevens, DMD, PA, Director of HealthCMI Dental Education, has identified key components that belong in every dental practice." HealthCMI will feature these components in a series of online courses.
