Enright, President of Enright & Associates, Inc. announced today that the company recently completed a contract to coordinate security arrangements for WIREC 2008 (Washington International Renewable Energy Conference) on behalf of one of the conference sponsors, the American Council on Renewable Energy, ACORE, located in Washington DC. The conference was held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Wash. D.C. from March 4-6 and was attended by over 6500 visitors from around the world, including the official delegations and ministers from 133 countries. The conference was held in three separate spaces inside the Convention Center and consisted of a trade show, a business conference and a ministerial session for the official foreign delegations. The trade show featured renewable energy products and companies from around the globe, including Volvo of Sweden, General Electric Energy of the USA and BP of Great Britain.
Mr. Enright stated "the conference was unique in that it was co-sponsored by the US Department of State and ACORE in a public-private partnership. Enright & Associates, Inc.
coordinated security efforts for all conference events with the US Department of State, Office of Diplomatic Security providing advice on operational planning for emergency/crisis
management, terrorism prevention, threat management and event security coverage."
On Wednesday, March 5, President Bush attended the conference, touring the trade show floor and delivered remarks to over 1800 conference attendees.
