In the new booklet "The Business of Forgiveness (http://www.charlettemanning.com/)" to help start the holidays off on the right foot:
- Give up the need to be right. It is not important to engage in disagreements. Give yourself permission to have a good time, during the holidays and beyond, in spite of other people and
their opinions. There is no such thing as right or wrong, it is just someone's opinion about what is right or wrong.
- Hold onto joy. You have a choice to accept what anyone says or does. The truth is what you decide it is. You are only rotten if you accept that you are rotten. Rise above any negative
thought or feelings directed towards you and smile.
- Detach from toxicity. Negativity produces negative energy and negative energy is literally toxic. Acid is produced in the body each time you focus on bad things. Anger is toxic,
arguments are toxic and bad inner feelings are toxic. When someone shares their tale of woe, be polite and exit stage right. Go to the other side of the room, the restroom or do whatever
you have to, but get away from toxic people as quickly as possible.
