Who would have Imagined it would Come to This



May 19, 2005 -- Thousand's of year's ago an island dweller carved a tiny boat from a tree, a tiny flat boat. The reason was not for recreation, but for survival. The reason was to be able to get to larger fish in the deeper water's, and to bring them back to shore with very little effort. As newcomers came to these island's they saw the tiny flat boat's and took the idea with them when they left. A new idea was born for the tiny flat boat, an IT was not fishing and far from survival. The new idea was FUN a recreational vehicle to ride the waves, and so welcome the wave board(also known as body board).

The next great discovery was many year's later, when a young boy found a pair of roller skate's on a rubbish heap. I cant let these go to waste he thought, and gathered them up and took them home. A few days went by and the young boy decided to nail the axles and wheel's to a flat, long board. He took the "board" for its first test run and realized, to his surprise, if he shifted his weight back and forth this new wheeled board could turn. He showed all of his friend's and all of A sudden little sister's everywhere were missing the wheel's from their roller skates. And so it was the birth of the skating-board (later shortened to skateboard by advertising execs)

There you have it; two simple idea's turned into multi million dollar market's, the board's and everything that goes with them. Respectively they have turned into sports, actual competition sports. The best part is anyone can play and they are. The next step is to bring these two together in one place, A place were the people who enjoy these sport's can go and get their different board's and all of the equipment to make their sport's safe and fun. That is about to happen today. I realized that A website that catered to this fun in the sun minded folk's would be perfect. I will offer each what they need to have the optimum enjoyment in their chosen sport, and some "point of interest" item's too. There you have it; three paragraphs, two great ideas and one I hope will be the third.
