The site was founded by the White family on the principle that every outdoorsman needed an affordable cup holder that would easily attach and detach directly to their boat for their river and lake trips.

"Our family canoes every summer and we always needed a place to set our beverages during our river float trips. After years of our water bottles rolling around on the bottom of our canoes, we decided to create the Can-panion to help us and everyone that Canoes or Kayaks down the river.," Owner Siobhan White said. "I believe the unique design of our product will clip onto your boat and free up your hands for a pleasurable and relaxing river trip. The fact that the Can-panion can clip onto other objects as well, is a great bonus."

Can-coctions, LLC has donated several of their Can-panions to the Missouri Race for the Rivers and the CR100 River Race in Texas resulting in great responses from organizations and racers. One customer wrote, "We love these beverage holders. These are exactly what our marriage needed. My husband likes to race canoes so I would never canoe with him. I just wanted to relax, enjoy the scenery, have a picnic and now we can. Now we can relax, put my beverage in the holder and keep paddling. Anyway, we love your product."

The company has worked hard promoting their product door-to-door as well as sporting booth shows and online contacts, resulting in the Can-panion available in 90 locations in the U.S. and Canada.

The online web site offers the Can-panion cup holder in many different colors (black, red, orange, yellow, blue and pink) giving customers and retail locations a choice of their favorite team or logo colors.
