New Camping Site Makes Online Debut

When it came time for camping enthusiast Jan Dixon to come up with the theme for her web store, she didn'st have to search far for inspiration. Camping is something I love and I have been doing it for 30 years, began Dixon. My husband and I have 'stent camped's in 49 states in the country and every Canadian province.

In December 2008, Dixon launched www.CampingWithJan.com, a website that specializes in high quality camping equipment for a fraction of the cost at big box retailers.

I feel that with all this experience and lessons learned along the way, I can provide the proper products and answer questions concerning the needs that come up along the trail, said Dixon.

The items on CampingWithJan.com are all prudent for anyone who'ss ready to spend some time camping and taking a trek across nature. From backpacks to tents to cooking gear, Dixon stocks the best products on her site and then some.

I'sm considering linking with a map company for both state and hiking maps, she said. I'sve also been thinking about carrying silk long-johns and outerwear.

In addition to having resources for maps available, Dixon has also simultaneously launched a blog, www.CampingWithJanBlog.com.

I would like to help other people who are new to camping or backpacking and make sure that they can avoid some of the mistakes we made when we first started, said Dixon of her blog. There will be articles on the equipment needed and the conditions they'sre appropriate for. I'sd also like to share some of my experiences of camping all over North America.

Unlike so many retailers, Dixon'ss site is not only chock full of the best outdoor equipment on the market, but there'ss also experience offered with each purchase or visit to the website.

I believe that my experience in camping and hiking could be valuable to others who wish to do the same things, she said.
