Nashifa Bhagwandin is a Semifinalist for the New Reality TV Show Model Maze 2005 Hawaii



On Saturday, June 25, 2005, online voting started to pick the winners to appear with 11 other contestants in Hawaii.

Nashifa Bhagwandin is in the hunt for the final slot to qualify for Hawaii. This Muslim/India beauty has been a member of One Model Place.com since April 2005. She has over 10,000 views on her model's Website.

Nashifa is currently the "Stunner of the Month" for the Faces by Makeup Artist Claude Julian, featured model for Active endeavors, Soul II Soul, and will hit the runway for upcoming fashion shows for Struggle Design and Fashion Show Series "2005" at the Ontourage Club in Chicago.

She has a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC) where she maintains a 3.7 G.P.A. During the day works full-time as an HR director managing over 125 employees.

When it came to modeling, Nashifa was told since 12 to go into modeling. When she finally decided to get into modeling, she thought - "Hey why not How hard can it be to get in front of a camera, smile and make lots of money or walk down a runway with some hip clothes on" Boy was she was so wrong! Modeling is something that takes hard work, practice and dedication just as getting a college education, being a mother, or running a business. Once she realized that modeling is not just about money, its about passion, commitment, and the willingness to get better.

When she viewed the Model Maze video - as Show Producer Jimmy Andrews was speaking the words out of his mouth, about the average woman, she pictured herself and her life coming right out of his mouth. She thought, "This is something that relates to me."

Because when people look at her they see this prissy girl who thinks she is all that especially in college when I walk into the classroom the first day of class. "They have no idea that I am a wife, a mother, a Muslim woman someone who has brains, big mouth, and a sense of humor to go with a pretty face."
On Model Maze, she wants people to realize passing judgment on models is the worst mistake to make, because models work just as hard as anyone else in the world to get where they are today.

Currently, she is working with some of the top Chicago fashion photographers and is in great demand for photo shoots, promotional appearances and music videos. She does have a passion for acting and look to start classes at ACT 1 Chicago in the fall semester. Look out Hollwood! Here comes "Nashifa Bhagwandin."
