Creative Composing Team Transcenders Signs with Visual Music

Fresh from scoring the CW'ss hit show Gossip Girl, the production team known as Transcenders, has signed with Visual Music, an L.A. based, award-winning commercial music company. The Transcenders group includes three original members of the Black Eyed Peas, whose songs have been heard in films like Judd Apatow'ss Superbad, Knocked Up and 40 Year Old Virgin, Chris Rock'ss I Think I Love My Wife and many others.

As record makers and recording artists, Transcenders approach to composing music is distinctive, fresh and innovative. We'sre thrilled to be working with them, says Tom Seufert, Visual Music'ss Creative Director. Their music has also appeared in television commercials for Target, AT's38;T, Nike, Volkswagen, Old Navy, Microsoft, Nissan, Bud Light and Levi'ss. Transcenders were nominated for a Grammy in 2005 for Let'ss Get It Started (Best Rap Song, Record of the Year) and they continue to collaborate with many artists, including Fergie on her new release The Dutchess.

Transcenders are collaborators first and foremost and are a great fit for current advertising trends, said Seufert. They have innovative songs and instrumentals available for licensing and are interested in creating original for commercials, trailers, promos and interactive, Seufert continued, They have an uncanny ability to create in many genres, noting a recent article January 5 in Variety titled Collective Re-Creates 's90'ss - Transcenders Go Indie for Gossip Girl which documents their creation of a fictional Indie band from the 90'ss for the hit show.

Visual Music creates scores, songs and sound design for all mediums. Formed in 1998 by creative director/composer Tom Seufert, Visual Music encompasses an extraordinary group of talented composers, hit songwriters, recording artists and sound designers including 15 NextGen Indie bands and 10 award winning composers.
