Laufer Film Announces UK DVD Deal for Christmas at Maxwells

Bill and Tiffany Laufer, of Laufer Film, announced today that the award winning PG-Rated film Christmas at Maxwell's (http://www.christmasatmaxwells.com/) will be available in UK stores via a DVD deal with Lighthouse DVD Distribution, Ltd. Bill Laufer, company President, said that Christmas at Maxwell's is being called a new "Christmas Classic" and we are pleased that English audiences will have access to the movie this holiday season. Of particular interest to English fans is the presence of Helen Welch, international singer and entertainment celebrity born in the UK and popular with English audiences.

"Christmas at Maxwell's" is based in part on a true story. Maitland McDonagh of TV GUIDE says " it's a rare example of truly independent filmmaking" This Dove Foundation Award winning PG-rated holiday film is connecting with audiences young and old.

Andrew May plays the lead part of Andrew Austin with McGill graduate, Second City cast member and Food Channel personality Jacqueline "Jack" Hourigan who play his wife in the movie. Hourigan's credits include How to Boil Water (The Food Network), Ready as She Grows (DIY Network) and Three Takes (Slice TV). Singer, song-writer Helen Welch and actor Director Bill Laufer help to complete the cast with score music written by Mike Petrone and Richard Baker.
