Pearls in Cyberspace Subscription Online Reading

Most Internet savvy readers are on the lookout for websites offering quality reading material online but they're not easy to find. One such website is called I Wanna Read More. It offers original short stories, novellas, serialized novels, eBooks and how-to manuals in many genres.



Visitors to the site are given the option to read a first installment of any of the stories for free, plus they are offered a free eBook, no strings attached just for dropping by. Then, by paying a small subscription fee to selected stories, a new installment of that story is delivered to a subscriber's email box on a regular basis.



The quality of most of the stories is first rate and the interface of the reading format makes the process simple, fast and enjoyable. There is no special software required except for some of the eBooks for which a specified (free) reader is available.



Aspiring authors looking for exposure for their work and some potential side income may also find this website and others like it, worth the visit. Those who have been through the grind of submitting manuscripts to publishers without results could find that websites in the IWRM vein offer the break they've been waiting for. It's unlikely anyone will get rich this way, but having material in front of the reading public greatly enhances the chance for an author to snag an agent or publisher's attention.



One note of caution, though. Websites like IWRM appear to be very picky about well-edited submissions. They obviously don't have the budget for in-house editing like big publishers. In most cases, though, the editors are open to any genre, including erotica (not porn).



Small publishers and agents might even want to peruse these subscription sites. Like it or not, eBooks and online reading are a big part of the future of publishing. The old slush piles of manuscripts simply aren't what they used to be, so the Internet may just be the place to find those pearls of creation in cyberspace.
