Specialized Wrestling Club, an Olympic Styles wrestling club that practices at Cottonwood High, had 11 wrestlers place at the USA-Wrestling Western Regional Championship last weekend in
Winnemucca, Nevada. Over 1000 wrestlers from 11 western states competed in 4 age groups, and 14 weight divisions.
Wrestlers competed in both Greco-Roman, and Freestyle. Both wrestling styles are Olympic sports. Placers are:

To qualify for the Regional Championship, wrestlers had to place at a Utah State Championship tournament held last April. The top 6 placers from each of 4 regional tournaments qualify for
the USA Wrestling National Championship held in Fargo North Dakota on July 23rd.
Specialized Wrestling Club is coached by Cam Jones, a 3X Utah State Champion, and placer at the USA World Senior Team Trials held earlier this month in Ames, Iowa.
