Thompson comes to CPP from Springs Global, a leading home furnishings supplier, where she most recently held the position of vice president, towel merchandising. Thompson spent 13 years at the company, where she served in a number of roles, including vice president-corporate planning and strategy and vice president-soft window merchandising.
Thompson has extensive experience in financial analysis, identifying areas for profit improvement, developing marketing plans for new product lines, and corporate planning and strategy, areas key to CPP's continued growth and long-term success. "Kathryn's strategic planning skills and experience with international markets will help to better focus CPP's domestic and international strategies and further establish us as a leader in the school and office products industry," said Presley.
Before joining Springs, Thompson began her career at The Hecht Company/May Department Stores. She earned her MBA from Darden Graduate School of Business, University of Virginia, and her B.S. in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce, University of Virginia.
