Remsoft Launches New Regimes Software Module



Remsoft, developer of industry-leading advanced analytics software for optimizing complex planning tasks, launched its newest software product, Regimes, that provides a planning tool for companies managing resources. The Regimes Module is an extension to Remsoft'ss Woodstock and provides an alternative method for formulating Linear Programming (LP) problems. Regimes was specifically created to make modeling more efficient by offering increased precision and control of management regimes and by making it faster and more straightforward. Some of Regimes's new capabilities include the ability to:



* Efficiently model resource use cycles.


* Model pre-defined activity sequences.


* Generate realistic work schedules.



The new modeling and planning capabilities included in Regimes give resource analysts the ability to much more precisely model crew schedules and project planning, among other things. The new concise way of representing problems in Regimes also allows for faster, more efficient and smaller models, resulting in quicker run-times and the ability to solve models that may have been previously unsolvable.



Regimes now saves analysts time by minimizing yield table declarations for partial actions. It also has improved import functions that make it easy for users to import from a variety of growth models, including Forest Vegetation Simulator (FVS).



Increased precision and control of management regimes offers a consistent way of tracking cash flows, ensuring that revenues and costs are calculated at the correct time. This allows users to associate costs before or after every individual action, which enables proper scheduling of all project aspects.
