Shon Gables Productions, LLC announced that it has entered into a licensing agreement with The Mocha Manual Company for the exclusive DVD rights to Kimberly Seals-Allers top selling book, "The Mocha Manual to a Fabulous Pregnancy" (Amistad/HarperCollins).

"The Mocha Manual to a Fabulous Pregnancy" DVD will feature key educational topics such as medical, newborn care, fitness, style, spirituality, family finances and mental health, as well as bonus entertainment segments featuring celebrity moms.

"We are specifically targeting the urban maternity market. The DVD will be informative, down-to-earth and speak directly to women of color," says Gables.

"Our goal is to reverse the tide of poor statistical outcomes for births to Black and Latina women of all socioeconomic levels," says Allers, author and most recently former senior editor of Essence Magazine.

"Our pregnancies face far more dangers than any other ethnicity, and have specific needs that are poorly addressed, or in some cases ignored."

The Mocha Manual DVD is currently in production and will be released nationally in time for Mother's Day 2008.

Shon Gables Productions, LLC is headed by award winning television journalist Shon Gables. In addition to her work in television news, Shon also appeared in the Spike Lee film, "Inside Man" and executive produced last year's feature film release, "Lord Help Us."
