What Emily learned and shared with the Round Table members is that giving to and sharing with others makes you more of a "whole" person. "You actually get more back than you can possibly give". But give she has and the rewards have been life changing. With each visit to Zambia, and July of 2008 will make it number five, she has brought a message of hope to the orphans.
The Diefendorf family has experienced first-hand how philanthropy can unify a family by solidifying their core values and unifying their philanthropic mission statement. In her final statement, Emily challenged each MDRT member to return home with a commitment to get their own family involved in charitable project. "It will change your life, and the lives of others."
