Famjama.com Launches Innovative Family Management and CommunityNetworking...

Famjama.com (http://www.famjama.com) today unveils a powerful online Family Relationship Management System that coordinates multiple aspects of family scheduling from a single Internet portal.

Famjama boasts a powerful integrated family planner and family networking framework. Designed for multiple family members and diverse use scenarios, Famjama extends into the community, connecting schedules outside of the family. It'ss perfect for carpools, little league teams, and single parents sharing kids's schedules.

Unlike standard internet group calendars, the Famjama framework is specifically designed for families. Setup is highly simplified and the calendar supports unique features such as flagging events where a parent or guardian is not present.

Famjama also gives group leaders and coaches the ability to set up a custom group website in minutes. The site provides a group calendar, bulletins, important contacts and links to external sites and can be fully integrated into participating families's own Famjama schedules. Information can easily be made public or kept private among members.

Group members can choose to have Famjama automatically integrate calendar information into their family calendars as well as receive important messages to their inbox of choice. Options include email, SMS text or Facebook notification.

So much of a parent'ss time is spent scheduling practices, keeping up with coaches's schedules, arranging play dates and shuttling children around, says Jim Justice, site architect and founder. We saw an opportunity to create a site that does more than allow a parent to record events. Famjama is a powerful platform with a social networking backbone that reaches as far into the community as the family schedule itself.

For those on-the-go, Famjama offers a simplified mobile site called Famjama Mobile which allows parents to access schedules, blast family messages or check an interactive shopping list. The mobile site connects directly to the family'ss main account, providing access to the same information, such as shopping lists. For example, a parent can enter an item into the shopping list from a computer at work, then bring up the list on their phone directly from the store.

The site currently supports calendar export to other calendaring systems such as Google Calendar and is planning to launch synchronization with Outlook in September. For the first few months, the site is officially in beta testing meaning users are encouraged to post feedback on any issues they discover or suggestions they may have.
